New post, new house

Long time since owr last post.....so sorry, but Momma's been busy with owr sticky little people. But enough of that...we's living in a whole 'nother STATE than when we last posted!! We's back in Albuquerque (fanks fur the help Momma)again. Well...at least fur the next 6 months or so while Daddy is learning to fly a 'nother whirly-bird. Then we's moofin' AGAIN. Such is the life of an Air Force Kitty. Hope y'all had a grate Halloween!!

WTF?!?!

What the fur?!?! Momma caughted Emily (owr baby sisfur) eating owr CRUNCHIES free times today!!! WE don't eat *her* food....she needs to back off *owrs*. She might need to get a paw upside her hed if this continues....

Qwestion

Hey y'all, we's got a qwestion for ya.... For those that use a Furminator, how do y'all deal wif static?? Momma borrowed one frum a friend, but we get HORRIBLE static issues. She's tried rubbing us AND the brush wif dryer sheets, and that helped a *little* bit. Any ideas would be appreciated. Fanks!!

Meeko Update

Meeko heer. Fanks for alla the well wishes y'all! Momma came and busted me owt this morning, after the V-E-T stole sum of my potty. I DO have a UTI, and am now on medicines to make it all the way better. I did haf a little pro-teen (due to blood) and sum kee-tones. Dr says to watch for any wierd changes in my bee-hav-your. I'm FURRY happy to be home wif my fambly (even if Kiara is all hissy at me!). I efen let my Rachael luf on me sum.

Purrs Needed

Kiara heer. Hi efurryone!! We know that we's been pretty inactive with owr posting, and we apologize. We do keep up with owr friends blogs tho. I'd like to ask y'all to say a prayer or kind thot fur Meeko. She wuz hafing bloody pee this morning. Momma took her to the V-E-T, and she hadded to stay ofur night. Hopefully we'll know more tomorrow. I gotta admit....I miss hafing her around today. Fanks y'all!! Hope efurryone is hafing a grate week!

Sean Patrick Tallon ~ 10 years later...we STILL remember

Note: This wuz originally posted 9/11/2006....we wanted to repost it. We'll never forget! When aircraft crashed into the World Trade Center's twin towers, it was New York City's Bravest that did what they did best - head directly in to danger, in order to save lives. Firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs - side by side - as was the case so many times before. Together with members of that city's Finest, they made their way to the heart of the tragedy. Grabbing their gear, the firefighters began rushing into the gigantic structures to assist with their safe evacuation, while the paramedics and EMTs began tending to the injured below. It was while doing those jobs - in the kind of rescue that they had performed so well, so many times - that their lives were taken from us. (Taken from here)

Sean Patrick "Charger" Tallon was one of those such men. At 26, he had only a month or so left of being a "probie" (a probationary firefighter). Sean was one of the first responders, along with the other members of Ten House. Their station was right across the street from the World Trade Center. On the way up the stairs of Tower One, Sean helped a fellow firefighter that was having a heart attack, then he continued up with two more of his fellow firemen. They were trapped when Tower One collapsed.

Sean led an active and varied life. He was a Marine Corps Reservist. He also loved Irish music and playing the button accordion. He would practice for an hour or more on many evenings. The steady, easy flow of sweet hornpipes, tasty reels, and lively jigs would fill the house.

This is part of a song that was written for Sean, and was played at his funeral:

"Up the stairs boys, running to the top

Without a thought to slow or stop

Upstairs boys on 9/11 and they kept on going

to the gates of Heaven.

With the men of Ten House was Sean Tallon...

Although he wasn't the first, he wasn't the last...

With love of God and Country he never thought he could

see such acts of hate...

As we remember our Charger and the others

and shed a mournful tear for all his fallen brothers,

Although we didn't know them all,

we knew them well enough to know what they were made of...

Sean left behind his parents, grandparents, sister and brother-in-law, and extended family in the United States, England, and Ireland, along with many friends. He is greatly missed by all.

May you rest in peace Sean Patrick Tallon. I would like to offer up this blessing:

Meeko's day!!

Today am Meeko's purrfday (AND Grammie and Poppie's anniversary)!!! We's not sure what we's gonna do yet. It's not much fun to celly-brate wifowt Daddy. But...owr Poppie is here wif us!! He came up to help Momma while Daddy is gone.

Today am owr Daddy's purrfday!!! He's gone fur 3 weeks, so we'll haf to wait to celly-brate when he gets back home. We lufs you Daddy, and we's taken good care of Momma and Rachael fur you!!!

We hope y'all haf a grate Easter wif yur fambly and friends. Owr Daddy left yesterday fur 3 whole weeks, but Momma is hafing sum of owr Air Force fambly ofur fur dinner. She sed that she'd save sum HAM fur us! We've been busy purrin' on Momma since she's had a nasty sinus infection/head cold. There really isn't too much she can take for it right now, just kinda has to suffer through. (We feel kinda bad fur her!)

Kiara's Purrfday!!!

Today am Kiara's 9th purrfday!!! We's not shur what's planned fur today yet, but it will prolly be pretty low key. Momma sed sumfing 'bout maybe going owtside fur a little while and getting brushed. We already gotted more than owr usual amount of treats this morning!

Anofur Purrfday

Today am Grammie's 60th purfday!!!! Happy Purrfday Grammie, we lufs you and wish we were there to celly-brate wif you!! (We meant to post earlier, but Momma's been sick)

Momma sez fanks fur alla the purrfday wishes!! We got her sum fings to use owt in alla the snow and a cold. She hasn't used the snow gear yet, and isn't to thrilled wif the cold (it's gotten worse all week). And Rachael and Daddy gotted sick too. It's been a furry snotty week around heer!

We just found owt that we gotted the keys to owr brand new howse! Momma and Daddy are all the way a'citied!!! Soooooo.....that means that the "M" werd will implemented in the next week or so. :-/

Silly Saturday

Lookie at what Rachael has started doing!!! Momma sez that "turn about is fair play"....whatefur THAT means!! Just a'cause I sit on Rachael's cowch, doesn't mean that SHE gets to sit in MY bed!!! Good fing that 40Paws make such sturdy ham-micks!!! What am I'm gonna do with that girl!?!?
