Kiara heer-...I's in BIG trouble tonite. I bit Momma...hard on the arm...twice! SHe wuz tryin' to comb owt sum of my knots wif the fancy comb the groomer lady tolded her 'bout. It werks, but I don't like it one bit. So, I attacked Momma's arm...again. I bited her yersterday too wifowt any reason. Tonite, she sed a couple of b-a-d werds and then sed "that's it...she's gettin' shaved!" to Daddy. HELP!!!! I don't wanna be shaved bald. There isn't anyfing medically wrong wif me. Momma and Grammie fink that I gotted the knots frum rolling 'round at Grammies howse tryin' to get my stink efurrywhere. But now, on top of having the knots, I got dnadruff. It's worse now that it wuz in Colorado!! The groomer lady sed it could be frum the stress of moving or my body tryin' to deal wif the knots. BTW...we tried a zoom-groom, but owr furrs are so long that all it did wuz make us static-ee. Hope efurrycat is having a good weekend.

oh yeah, when Gramma Trixie gotted knots, she gotted really bad dandriff too. Her furs was really really long. Mommy nefurr gotted her shaved. She would wrap a towel around her back legs to keep them still and then put her back legs between her own legs, and hold her by her scruff to keep her head still and use her free hand to brush the mats out. those combs are sometimes very rough on kitties furs, 'speshually if they has little teefs wif hardly any space between them. There are wire grooming brushes that get the job done fast and don't pull the furs as much. that is what mommy used on Trixie. She hated being brushed or combed.
Kiara, we hopes you doesn't haf to be shaved.
Oh I am so sorry that you will be shaved. I get threatened with that from time to time but so far it hasn't happened.
Quick, teleport over.
I'm sorry about your fur troubles. It can happen to anyone, though. Starting fresh might be the only solution...and it will grow back!
Oh dear poor Kiara. Mom says dandruff can be caused by stress. We hope your knots go away soon Maybe a short haircut would help you feel cooler and not so ounchy with knot pulling ~The Fluffy Tribe
