Meeko's story, as told by momma. In 2001, I was living on my own and missing the kitty that I grew up having (Tink stayed with my parents when I moved out). I decided to adopt a kitty. Meeko was a tiny ball of fluff (she only weighed 1.8 lbs), and I fell in love right then. She is a diluted calico with a fluffy tail and tummy. The poor thing was being treated for worms just before I took her home. I think she was weaned too soon, because she would always root in my neck as a kitten. She would be downstairs, while I was upstairs, and start crying 'cause she thought that she was all alone. I'd call out, "Where's momma's Meeko at??" and she would give a little purr/meow, to say here I am, and then come running. Meeko will still come running when I call her. She loves to snuggle with me, and usually sleeps next to me. Unless daddy's there, then she doesn't...not sure why. In the mornings when I'm waking up, she has to get all snuggled in on my neck and chest. It wasn't a problem when she was a kitten, but now she weighs 13 lbs. And she likes to stand on my throat or on my separated ribs. Not very comfy for me! Meeko still hasn't really warmed up to Kiara, not sure if she ever will. When we made the move out to Colorado, they were friendly to each other....until they got comfy in the new place, then things went back to the way they used to be.
That's all for now. I'll get pics posted when I get back to Colorado this w/e. Stay tuned for Kiara's story and more of mine and daddy's!
