Sleepy Sunday

Crappity, crap, crap, crap!!!! I just heard Momma on the phone making an appointment to take me in to be shaved tomorrow!!! I need a place to hide!!!

Trouble Tuesday

Kiara heer: I fink I may be in trouble. Not the I-did-somfing-bad kind, but the I-have-tons-of-knots-in-my-fur kind. I've had knots a'fore, and Momma could cut them herself. I didn't like it, and Daddy has to help hold me. Well, since we've mooved, the knots have gotten a squillion times worse!!! Basically, both of my sides are one ginormus knot. Momma and Daddy are talking about taking me in to get my fur shaved off!! EEEKKKK!!! I's not sure how I'll feel about this. Momma doesn't WANT to do it, but knows that the knots are only gonna get worse and most likely start to hurt. Any suggestions furiends??

Well....after 25 hours in the car, four days driving, 3 different hotels, and 3 nights at Grammies...we are FINALLY in Albuquerque!! We's getting all settled in and checkin' owt all the new hiding places in owr new place. Will try to post more soon. Gotta go help Momma unpack now!

We STILL Remember ~ Sean Patrick Tallon

Note: This wuz originally posted 9/11/2006....we wanted to repost it. We'll never forget!



When aircraft crashed into the World Trade Center's twin towers, it was New York City's Bravest that did what they did best - head directly in to danger, in order to save lives. Firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs - side by side - as was the case so many times before.

Together with members of that city's Finest, they made their way to the heart of the tragedy. Grabbing their gear, the firefighters began rushing into the gigantic structures to assist with their safe evacuation, while the paramedics and EMTs began tending to the injured below.

It was while doing those jobs - in the kind of rescue that they had performed so well, so many times - that their lives were taken from us. (Taken from here)

Sean Patrick "Charger" Tallon was one of those such men. At 26, he had only a month or so left of being a "probie" (a probationary firefighter). Sean was one of the first responders, along with the other members of Ten House. Their station was right across the street from the World Trade Center. On the way up the stairs of Tower One, Sean helped a fellow firefighter that was having a heart attack, then he continued up with two more of his fellow firemen. They were trapped when Tower One collapsed.

Sean led an active and varied life. He was a Marine Corps Reservist. He also loved Irish music and playing the button accordion. He would practice for an hour or more on many evenings. The steady, easy flow of sweet hornpipes, tasty reels, and lively jigs would fill the house.

This is part of a song that was written for Sean, and was played at his funeral:

"Up the stairs boys, running to the top

Without a thought to slow or stop

Upstairs boys on 9/11 and they kept on going

to the gates of Heaven.

With the men of Ten House was Sean Tallon...

Although he wasn't the first, he wasn't the last...

With love of God and Country he never thought he could

see such acts of hate...

As we remember our Charger and the others

and shed a mournful tear for all his fallen brothers,

Although we didn't know them all,

we knew them well enough to know what they were made of...

Sean left behind his parents, grandparents, sister and brother-in-law, and extended family in the United States, England, and Ireland, along with many friends. He is greatly missed by all.

May you rest in peace Sean Patrick Tallon. I would like to offer up this blessing:

She's HEER!!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! Rachael am HEER!!! Well, still at the hospital, but heer none the less. Bof her and Momma am doing GRATE!! She came into the world Aug. 24 at 5:55pm, 7lbs 9oz, and 20 inches long. She gots a little bit of brown hair on her hed.

So...wifowt further ado....we proundly present Miss Rachael Elizabeth!!!

A'citing News!!!

We gots sum a'cting news today!! Well...Momma has known since Tuesday, but didn't share it wif us. Tomorrow night (Sunday) she and Daddy are going to the bean fix-it place to start Rachael's eviction process!!! Huh, what's that Momma?? OH....induction process. Gotcha! Whatefur, the end result is the same eifur way. So, we's gonna haf owr blurpy sisfur here soon!!!! We'll keep y'all posted. And any purrs, prayers, or ofur good vibes would be awesome!!

This am Rukia. She's Auntie Alicia's new fur-baby!!! She's been with her for a week now. Momma has been "derailing" furry easy these days and kept furgeting to post this. Sorry!!! We's trying ta convince Autie Alicia that Rukia needs her own bloggie!

Momma is furry happy to be able to start planning. That ALSO means that we won't be mooving a'fore Rachael is born! (Momma is FURRY a'citied 'bout that!)

Eeeekkk!!! Today am the that we *FINALLY* find owt all that info that we talked about last week!! ACK!! Momma and Daddy are neruous/excited. We'll let y'all know where we's headin' to next!

And Mimi and Uncle Brian get heer today. Grammie, Poppie, and Grandpa David (Daddy's Dad) get heer tomorrow.

Update

So...ALL the things we were *supposed* to be finding owt about tomorrow, won't ax-ually be found owt until next Wed. Momma wuzn't too furry happy 'bout that!! (Don't think Daddy or his friends were eifur) Oh, well.....such is life in the Air Force!

Nothin' New

Well....we gots nothin'!! It's been too hot to do much of anyfing and Momma doesn't haf ALOT of energy these days anyways. She still hasn't been able to "catch" Kiara in her new bed. But...that's a good thing, since it's axually Rachael's bassinet and Momma doesn't really want Kiki to get used to being able to sleep in it.

We do get to find out on Friday what Daddy's fur-ever whirly-bird is, when we haf to move to Albequerque, and where we will be moving after that. That's ALOT of stuff to find owt in 1 day! Momma can't wait, a'cause right now she can't make ANY plans, fur anyfing! We'll keep y'all posted!

Meeko heer: Hi Y'all!! Hope you didn't forget about us. Momma and Daddy wented away for a night to celly-brate their anniversary, and haf been busy doin' ofur stuff around heer. But....y'all gotta check owt my new napping spot!! Momma gotted it JUST FOR ME!!! It is ALL the way comfy. I sometimes let her use it though. I highly recommend getting one fur yurself!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Today am Momma and Daddy's 2nd (wedding) anniversary!! (They've been together 6 years) They might go out for lucnh to celly-brate, but not do too much a'cause Daddy is night flying now. That means he goes in to werk at 4 in the afternoon, takes off after the sun goes down, and comes home again at ~3 in the morning. So he's sleeping right now. BUT...they are gonna try to go to the beach this weekend to celly-brate. We lufs you guys!!!

WTF!!!! We just noticed that most of recent posts were eifur about ofurs or ofurs pic-shurs!! Not that we mind sharing...all THAT much. We decided that since Momma is going to be gone bisitin' the Big Mouse in Florida (un-able to help us post) that we needed to post sum pic-shur of us so y'all don't furget what we look like!

Owr Mimi is coming to bisit today!!! Momma gots to go pick her up frum the airport this afternoon. Mimi came to see us, Daddy, us, Momma, and the blurpy-still-in-Momma's-tummy. THEN, next week, Momma and Mimi will be going to bisit the big Mouse at his House in Florida wif the rest of Daddy's fambly. Daddy may or may not get to go for a little while, it depends on him's flight schedule and him's classes.

Proud Thursday

Today am a furry special day.....Auntie Alicia gradumated frum Harvard!!! She's furry, furry smart. Her's gradumated #2 frum the Air Force Academy and THEN went to Harvard!! We are all the way proud of her and can't wait until we get to Albequerque to see her again!! AND....her hubby, Uncle Jon, gets his wings tomorrow (along with ofur friends of owrs)! We've had a furry busy couple of weeks, and it looks like it's gonna be that way fur the rest of the summer at least.
